About My Practice

Everything you need to know before booking an appointment

What do you help people with?

I support people aged 16 years and over through a range of challenges, including anxiety, burnout, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship difficulties, stress, self-esteem, or simply a season of life that feels heavier than expected.

Who do you work with?

My practice has a particular focus on supporting women. I also work with men and welcome bookings from people of all genders.

Where do you offer counselling?

I offer counselling in the Sutherland Shire from my private counselling room at Aesthetic Haus in Caringbah.

You can also choose Walk & Talk Therapy at selected locations throughout Southern Sydney, or online counselling from wherever suits you best - whether that's your home, office or even your car during a busy day.

Many clients choose to switch between formats depending on what works best for them.

What therapeutic approaches do you use?

My approach is warm and collaborative, drawing on evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Together, we'll find an approach that feels most helpful for you.

I tailor each session to your individual needs, goals and circumstances, rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach.

You can read more about my therapeutic approach here.

How much does counselling cost?

Counselling sessions are 60 minutes and cost $140.

I also offer a reduced-fee program for people experiencing financial hardship. If cost is a barrier, please feel free to get in touch to discuss your options.

Do I need to commit to ongoing counselling?

There's no lock-in or set number of sessions.

You're free to attend counselling in a way that feels helpful for you, whether that's short-term support through a difficult season or ongoing sessions over time. Some people book regular appointments, while others reach out when they feel they'd benefit from some extra support.

You're always in control of when - and if - you'd like to book your next session.

Do I need a referral?

You can book directly - no referral is needed.

If you'd prefer to chat first, you can book a free initial chat to ask any questions and see whether you'd like to book a session.

Is counselling covered by Medicare?

Counselling isn't covered by Medicare.

If you have a Mental Health Care Plan and you're wondering whether counselling is the right option for you, you're very welcome to get in touch. We can talk through your options and what support is likely to be most helpful for your situation.

Can I claim counselling through my private health fund?

Yes. I’m currently registered with Bupa, so eligible clients may be able to claim through their extras cover.

Is there a waitlist?

I don't currently have a formal waitlist. I aim to offer appointments across weekdays, evenings and weekends so it's easier to find a time that works for you when you're ready to reach out.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Life doesn’t always go to plan. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I encourage 24 hours’ notice where possible.

How do I book my first counselling appointment?

You can book your first appointment online. If you'd prefer to chat first, you're also welcome to book a free initial phone call to ask any questions and get a feel for what it might be like to work together.
